It has been over a decade since Chef Gio discovered his culinary identity.   Having been raised in his father's former fine dining restaurants “The Blue Grotto”, “Gustaves” and “GIOs”; Chef Gio's passion for the restaurant business, and natural ability as a Chef was revealed to him.  In 1998 Gio, along with his father Giuseppe Calapai, established their family owned restaurant, Bella.   Gio's fervor for food is evident, his seasonal menus are infused with a colaboration of flavors from the many regions of Italy, most notably Sicily where his family is from. In addition to his menu Chef Gio features weekly specials that show his innate ability to experiment with ingredients, creating dishes that are both innovative and compelling. He often incorporates the ever changing flavors and styles of the culinary world into his exceptional creations.
Ultimately, the satisfaction of his patrons is his inspiration.
